Take Advantage of the Nectar to Avios Bonus

If you’ve been keeping up to date with the site (or checking your emails from BA or Nectar!) you will already know that Sainsbury’s & Nectar are the new partner for British Airways and Avios! What’s the Nectar to Avios bonus?

If you transfer 1,600 Nectar points into Avios before the 14th February you will receive an additional 500 Avios bonus. A transfer of 1,600 Nectar would normally earn you 1,000 Avios so with the bonus you are getting 1,500 Avios.

You will also earn double Nectar points on all shopping at Sainsbury’s between the 25th January and 19th April. (2 points per £1 rather than 1.)

Anything else to be aware of?

The 1,600 Nectar points need to be transferred in ONE transaction to your Avios account.

To get the double points on your Sainbury’s shop you need to transfer a minimum of 1,600 Nectar points in ONE transaction to your Avios account

You won’t receive the bonus if you transfer Avios into Nectar points and then reverse the transaction. The points need to originate from your Nectar card account.

The 500 bonus Avios may take 28 days to arrive. Wait until this time has passed if you want to convert back to Nectar as you will otherwise lose your bonus!

Nectar to Avios Bonus Conclusion

It’s a nice little bonus if you are going to take advantage of Nectar’s new partnership with British Airways.
