American Express have now decided to make some further changes affecting some sign-up bonuses and the bonus points offered for referrals.
What’s Changed?
1) American Express Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card
The sign-up bonus has been halved from 20,000 Membership Reward points to 10,000 points
The spend target for the sign-up bonus has increased from £2,000 to £3,000 in 3 months
The referral bonus has decreased from 9,000 points to 6,000
The referral bonus has decreased from 18,000 points to 12,000 points
3) The American Express Rewards Credit Card
The sign-up bonus has been halved from 10,000 Membership Reward points to 5,000 points
The spend target for the sign-up bonus has increased from £1,000 to £2,000 in 3 months
4) The American Express® Rewards Low Rate Credit Card
The sign-up bonus has been halved from 5,000 Membership Reward points to 2,500 points
The spend target for the sign-up bonus has increased from £500 to £1,000 in 3 months
