Can I add more bags?

Yes, you can add up to 7 extra bags per person when you check-in online. Online check-in opens 24 hours before your flight is due to depart. You can also pay for extra bags at the airport. it costs exactly the same, but the limit is 10 bags per person. What about oversized or overweight baggage?

As long as your baggage is no larger than 190 x 75 x 65cm you’ll be able to have it checked in by Virgin Atlantic by paying the oversized baggage fee of £200 (or $300 US) per item. You can’t do this in advance, only at the airport. The same £200 ($300) fee applies if your baggage is overweight (23kg in Economy, Premium & 32kg in Upper Class.) If your baggage is oversize AND overweight you’d need to pay 2 x this fee so £400 ($600.)

Do status holders with Virgin get any additional baggage?

If you are Flying Club Gold you can check in an extra piece of baggage on all Virgin Atlantic operated flights for no extra charge (weighing up to 23kg). It doesn’t matter which cabin you’re flying in.
