You Can Now Access Plaza Premium Lounges With Your Priority Pass Again!

For the last 2 years or so you haven’t been able to access Plaza Premium lounges with your Priority Pass due to, what we presume, was a dispute over what Priority Pass paid Plaza Premium for access at contract renewal. Thankfully this has now been resolved! Starting immediately you’ll be able to access 39 Plaza Premium lounges with another 24 joining them towards the end of the month.

When are the Plaza Premium lounges rejoining?

Starting immediately you can access 39 Plaza Premium lounges which include ALL of the UK ones…

  • Plaza Premium Heathrow Terminal 2
  • Plaza Premium Heathrow Terminal 4
  • Blush by Plaza Premium Heathrow Terminal 4
  • Plaza Premium Heathrow Terminal 5
  • Plaza Premium Gatwick North
  • Plaza Premium Edinburgh

The remaining 24 lounges go live on Tuesday 20th June. You can view all the lounges and their joining date on this page of the Priority Pass website – https://www.prioritypass.com/lounge-changes-june-2023

How can you get a Priority Pass or LoungeKey card?

LoungeKey is exclusively provided through partner banks/credit cards. Some cards that include LoungeKey in the UK are…

Santander World Elite Mastercard – £15 monthly fee. The Santander World Elite Mastercard comes with a LoungeKey which gives the cardholder free lounge access to over 1000 airport lounges worldwide. Additional guests are charged at £20 per person per visit.

HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard – £195 annual fee. The HSBC Premier World Elite Mastercard comes with a LoungeKey which gives the cardholder free lounge access to over 1000 airport lounges worldwide. Additional guests are charged at £20 per person per visit.

Priority Pass can be purchased or provided through a credit card. Some cards that include Priority Pass access in the UK are…

The Platinum Card – £575 annual fee. The Platinum Card comes with two free Priority Pass cards (main cardholder + supplementary) and allows unlimited free visits for the cardholder + one guest & supplementary + one guest.) You can read more about the Amex Platinum on Amex’s website here – https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/credit-cards/platinum-card

The Amex Preferred Rewards Gold Credit Card – FREE for the first year (£160 afterward) the Amex Gold card comes with four free visits to any Priority Pass lounge every year (additional visits are charged at £20.) You can read more about the Amex Gold on Amex’s website here – https://www.americanexpress.com/uk/credit-cards/gold-credit-card/?linknav=uk-amex-cardshop-details-browse-GoldCreditCard

Conclusion

More lounge choice is obviously a good thing for cardholders, particularly in the UK, where getting access with a Priority Pass is often tricky. Unfortunately, this change will undoubtedly make Plaza Premium lounges busier (they are generally much quieter than the Priority Pass lounges) which is a negative if you are an Amex Platinum or DragonPass cardholder who uses the lounges.
