Can Someone Else Manage My BA Account?
Have you ever wished for simplicity you didn’t need your partner around to make a call to BA to make a change to a booking? Or perhaps your partner doesn’t want to be up at midnight to ring BA to secure your flights using a BA Companion Voucher? The good news is that BA allows you to manage someone else’s BA account by creating a third-party nominee. Read on to find out how you can do it!
How do I create a third-party nominee on my BA account?
To create a third-party nominee on your account you need to visit this page on the BA website – https://www.britishairways.com/travel/thirdpartynominee/execclub/_gf/en_gb
Here you can add up to FIVE different nominees who are allowed to manage your account on your behalf. You’ll be asked to provide their Names and a password they can use when calling on your behalf.
Once you’ve added your nominees and created a password any of them can then call BA Executive Club on your behalf. That means they can book, amend or cancel tickets and do pretty much anything else you could do. They will have access to your Household Account Avios balance, if you have one, but will not be able to update other individuals’ accounts within the Household Account unless they have been nominated to do so
When your third-party nominee gets in touch with an Executive Club Service Centre they will be asked some security questions to gain access to your account. This will include providing part of the password you’ve created for them.
Conclusion
As you can see utlising the third-party nominee feature of your/your partner’s BA account is a very useful option. It means there is no need for both of you to be around to book or make any changes to your flights. This is particularly useful if your partner refuses to be up at midnight to help you secure the flights you want! Have you set your partner up as a third-party nominee on your account?
