Struggle To Book Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights? Virgin Introduces GUARANTEED Reward Seats On ALL Flights!

Have you struggled to book Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights recently? You are not alone! Unfortunately, particularly in Upper Class, redemptions have been notoriously difficult to find, even on so-called ‘easier’ routes to book on. Whilst some have found a use for their points booking some of the fantastic redemptions on Virgin Voyages it isn’t what people ‘signed up’ for when they started collecting Virgin Points. Today that all changes…

From Today Booking Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights Should Be Easier…

Virgin is now offering GUARANTEED reward seats on ALL flights. This is an impressive move considering it has smaller cabins and will cost Virgin a lot (particularly at peak times.)

How many GUARANTEED Reward Seats are there?

The GUARANTEED Reward seats are broken down as follows…

  • two seats in Upper Class
  • two seats in Premium Economy
  • eight seats in Economy

These are GUARANTEED to be loaded when the flight opens for booking (331 days in advance at midnight.) So tonight flights in late May 2023 will be loaded… keep a look out if you are interested in booking flights!

For existing flights (AKA the ones currently bookable) extra seats will be released during today as long as 12 reward seats have not already been released.

There may be additional seats loaded at different times depending on how well cash seats are selling.

Gold members can now book ANY seat with double points

Another great new benefit (if you are a gold member) is you can now book a ‘Gold Reward Seat.’ This will allow Gold members to pay for a reward seat in any cabin, even when there is no A, P, or G fares available. To do this you need to pay double the Virgin Points and book more than 60 days in advance.

Unfortunately similarly to the Virgin Credit Card Upgrade/2-4-1 voucher, you will need to make your booking over the phone or via web chat.

Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights Conclusion

This is a fantastic move from Virgin Atlantic! Whilst their clubhouse lounges and service are fantastic it was hard to commit to collecting Virgin points when it was incredibly difficult to get any Upper-Class reward seats. This move will encourage many point collectors (and indeed frequent flyers) to start flying/collecting Virgin points again.
