NEW! £50 Hilton Cashback On Amex Cards

Amex has just recently launched £50 Hilton Cashback offer on some of their cards. You can get £50 back on £200+ spent on select European Hilton hotels. If you are targeted you will find the offer under your offers page in the App or on the website. Make sure you check all your cards as you might find it appears on one but not others.

How do I get the £50 Hilton Cashback off my next stay?

First of all, you need to register for the offer on your American Express card in the app or on the website. Once registered you need to spend £200 at a participating Hilton hotel by the 16th of December. Cumulative spend counts so this doesn’t need to be in one transaction.

Don’t forget…

Hilton currently has an offer running until December called ‘Double Your Stay.’ With it, you will receive double base points on all stays. In addition to this you will also recieve 2,000 bonus Hilton points on every stay that doesn’t checkout on a weekend until 16th December 2022 once registered.

Now clearly the maths on this is much better on a cheap £80 one-night stay over an expensive weekend somewhere. The £80 midweek stay as a Diamond member and choosing the Myway benefit as points would earn 4,800 points, which we’d value at £24 (see how to value your own points here.) which is an impressive 30% return! But at least with double base points you will get a good return on more expensive/weekend stays too.

Conclusion

Consider whether the £50 cashback means it makes sense to move an existing stay to Hilton, particularly with the addition of the bonus points if you stay before the 16th of December. You may also find it worthwhile to change a points stay to a cash one if the maths works out for you.
