How Do I Check My British Airways eVoucher Balance?

If you have an eVoucher from taking a British Airways Future Travel Voucher you may be wondering how you can check the balance of them? Or perhaps you’ve had so many vouchers you’ve lost track of the numbers and balances?

Previously you had to ring up BA and speak to an advisor to check what vouchers you have and their balances (often a painful task.) But thankfully BA now offer a way for you to check your British Airways eVoucher balance online…

How do I check my British Airways eVoucher Balance?

To check what eVouchers you have and their remaining balance(s) you need to visit this page on the British Airways website – https://www.britishairways.com/travel/ba-remind-me/public/en_gb/remind-me.

Here you need to enter your BA email and then shortly afterwards you will receive an email with a list of all your remaining eVoucher(s), the codes to use them and the remaining balance(s). Isn’t that much simpler that ringing BA and waiting for an advisor?!

When do I need to use my British Airways Future Travel eVouchers by?

Under the current rules, ALL eVouchers must be used by the 30th September 2023. I wouldn’t be surprised if we do see some flexibility on this date as it approaches. However… nothing is guaranteed!

How do I use my British Airways eVoucher?

Thankfully the process of using your eVoucher(s) is much simpler…

1. Find the flights you’d like to book
2. Review your booking and enter your eVoucher details
3. See your updated total and continue to payment

You can use up to 4 eVouchers per booking and any unused balance will be reissued to you as another eVoucher. You don’t need to be travelling on the booking either but for security reasons if you aren’t BA request you book at least 4 days before travel.

If I don’t want to fly/can’t fly can I still get a British Airways eVoucher?

If you booked with CASH before Wednesday 8th June 2022 AND your trip is due to be completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022 you can get an eVoucher for the cost of your flight up to 1 hour before departure. If you have an AVIOS ticket booked before Wednesday 8th June 2022 AND your trip is due to be completed (departure and return) by 30 September 2022 AND you haven’t made any changes since before Wednesday 8th June 2022 you can cancel without fee and get all your Avios & ‘taxes + fees’ back.

Booking made after these dates are subject to BA’s normal pre-covid rules i.e…

• non-refundable cash tickets are back to being non-refundable (taxes and charges can, technically, be refunded but the admin fee is usually higher than the amount due)
• Avios tickets can be cancelled up to 24 hours before departure for a fee of £35 per person
