Get 50% Off Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights to the United States and Caribbean

Virgin has launched an excellent rebate on Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights to the United States and the Caribbean. If you book before midnight on the 7th of November you will get back 50% of your Virgin Points after you’ve travelled.

What are the rules on the 50% off Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights offer?

• You must book by midnight on the 7th of November and complete your travel by 25th March 2023
• The offer is only valid on Virgin Atlantic flights carrying a VS flight number to either the Caribbean or United States.
• All cabins are included (Economy, Premium Economy & Upper Class)
• The offer is valid on upgrades & with the 2-4-1/Upgrade Voucher from the Virgin Atlantic credit card. It is not valid on Gold Reward Seats (reward seats booked with double points by Gold members.)​
• The offer is only valid on points only bookings not cash + points.
• You need to be a member of Virgin Red (Join here for free) and have linked your Virgin Atlantic flying club account to your Virgin Red account BEFORE you book.
• The lead booker will recieve the rebate within 28 days of completing your travel.

Is it worth taking advantage of the 50% off Virgin Atlantic Reward flights?

Yes, I think so. After the rebate, you could be flying in Upper Class for as little as 47,500 Virgin Points return. There are two unfortunate issues, however…

1. The ‘taxes & fees’ are still an eye-watering amount, almost £1,000 on some routes. Though with the reduction in points cost you can still pick up a great deal in comparison to the cash cost.
   
2. As this is a rebate rather than a discount you need to have the full amount of points to book. This cuts out a lot of potential virgin point holders who’d potentially like to take advantage of this offer.

Are there any Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights available to book?

Whilst historically there were a lot of difficulties getting Virgin Atlantic Reward Flights thanks to changes made earlier this year it’s now a lot easier to get the seats you want. Virgin now guarantees two seats in Upper Class, two seats in Premium Economy & eight seats in Economy on every flight.

As you can’t book when the seats are intially released (the offer is only valid until 25th March 2023) it’s likely some seats would have gone but you should be able to pick up a good deal/seat if you are flexible!

Conclusion

If you are planning a trip to the Caribbean or United States before the end of March then you might like to take advantage of this offer! Even taking into account the sizeable ‘taxes & fees’ you are still getting a good deal in comparison to the cash rate.
