O2 Customer? Get FREE Lounge Access At O2’s NEW LOUNGE in Gatwick North

In rather unexpected news today O2 has launched their own Airport Lounge in Gatwick North Terminal! O2 customers and those who have access to O2 Priority (e.g. those with Virgin Media) can get completely FREE lounge access.

The Lounge…

The lounge is called the ‘O2 Roam Freely Lounge.’ It’s there to promote the fact that O2 is the only major UK network that allows you to roam freely in the UK (up to 25GB of data) with no additional costs.

Inside the lounge O2 promises ‘Expect comfy seats, free drinks and snacks plus free Wi-Fi.’ and also ‘a cinema room courtesy of the legends at Disney+.’ Though I’m not sure I’d describe deck chairs are being comfy!

How do I get the FREE Lounge Access?

If you are an O2 customer or have access to O2 Priority you need to pre-book your FREE visit on this page of the O2 website. There is only limited space so if you want to use the lounge (currently up to the 9th of October) make sure you book in ASAP! The lounge is open between 6am and 3pm, seven days per week, until then.

You can bring one guest in per O2 priority account. Visits are restricted to 60 minutes (although I’m unsure how they are going to police this.)

Not an O2 customer/Don’t have access to O2 priority for FREE Lounge Access?

The easiest way to get access to O2 priority if you don’t already have access is to get an O2 sim card. You will need your phone to be unlocked to do this…

1. Order a FREE sim either directly from O2 or through a cashback website such as Topcashback.
   
2. Once the SIM card comes put it in your phone (or any unlocked phone!)
   
3. Register an account with O2 and activate the SIM.
   
4. Top up the SIM by £10
   
5. Download the O2 Priority app & sign in using your details.
   
6. Turn off the phone and put your normal SIM back in!
   
7. Enjoy O2 Priority!
   
8. Use the SIM at least once everything 6 months to keep it active e.g. send a text (otherwise, the SIM will be cancelled and you will lose any credit.)

If you end up using the lounge twice during the offer period it means you’d be in effect paying £2.50pp per visit which isn’t bad!

Conclusion

If you are already an O2 customer flying from Gatwick North in the coming months’ FREE lounge access is a no-brainer. Even if you aren’t already a customer you might want to consider becoming one due to the various offers such as FREE drinks, snacks, and even things such as FREE cinema tickets O2 runs for customers.
