Get Hilton Diamond Status Until 2025 With Just 14 Nights

Hilton has relaunched their Hilton Status Match offer for members that hold elite status with Best Western, Choice, IHG, Marriott, or Hyatt. You will need to complete 8 nights for Hilton Gold status or 14 nights for Hilton Diamond status within 90 days, any status achieved will last until 2025. This is slightly up from the amount of nights required last year but with most countries fully back to ‘normal’ now you may find the target easier to hit.

Am I eligible for a Hilton Status Match?

If you hold qualifying elite status in Best Western, Choice, IHG, Marriott, or Hyatt and you are Hilton Silver Elite or a base member (and have proof of a stay within the last 24 months) you can enroll in the status match challenge. Regardless of what qualifying status you have, you will be matched to Hilton Gold Elite for 90 days whilst you complete the challenge. Status matches are available once per the lifetime of your account… so pick your moment wisely!

What do I need to do to keep my status?

8 nights in 90 days will give you Gold Elite status & 14 nights in 90 days will give you Diamond Elite status. In both cases, your status would be valid until March 2025.

These need to be CASH nights, unfortunately, reward nights will not count.

If you don’t meet either requirement you will be returned to your original status after the 90 days have expired.

What benefits will my Hilton Status Match get me?

As you get Gold Elite status as soon as you are enrolled you will be entitled to the following benefits…

Space-available room upgrades, Free Breakfast (Daily Food & Beverage Credit in the US) & 80% Points earning Bonus on Stays. (This is on top of the standard benefits you can read at the end of this section)

If you manage 8 nights in 90 days you’ll keep this status until March 2025.

If I reach 14 nights what benefits does Hilton Diamond Status have?

Space-available room upgrades, Free Breakfast (Daily Food & Beverage Credit in the US), 100% Points earning Bonus on Stays, Executive lounge access & Free Premium WiFi. (This is on top of the standard benefits you can read at the end of this section.) Again you will keep this status until March 2025.

Anything to be aware of?

1. The status challenge is only available to for new or existing Hilton base and Silver Elite members. Existing Gold members aren’t eligible for the Hilton Diamond status challenge.
2. If you have already taken part in a status challenge on your account you aren’t eligible for another.
3. Only paid stays count, stays booked with points (or any reward stays) do not.
4. You have 90 days from the date your temporary status is awarded to meet your target
5. There is no ‘official’ end date.

How do I apply for the Hilton Status Match?

After you’ve logged in (you will need to create an account if you don’t have one already) You simply need to choose the hotel program and status level you have and upload proof of status and a recent stay within 24 months. If your submission is accepted your status match challenge will normally start within a week of applying.

Is it worth doing?

Absolutely! The status match will give you full status benefits e.g. free breakfast, upgrade (with potential lounge access) & late checkout, etc. straight away. Good luck getting that with another hotel’s mid-tier status! If you can manage 8+ nights in 90 days it might be worth making the switch from your other hotel’s mid-tier status. If you aren’t interested in changing your loyalty consider using it when you have an upcoming Hilton stay to benefit from the Gold Elite benefits.
