How Do You Contact British Airways?

Is there a local number I can call?

If you use the numbers for calling outside the UK mentioned later with 141 in front you will get through to BA just the same! If you don’t use 141 British Airways can detect you are in the UK and won’t take the call.

For non-gold members dial 141 0191 4907901 – Otherwise, If you are a gold member the number is – 141 0208 7074488

Email/Online

If you want to contact British Airways via Email/Online you can do so on this page of the British Airways website – https://www.britishairways.com/travel/askbainter/public/en_gb – If you need to make a complaint or claim for baggage, flight delays etc the page is here – https://www.britishairways.com/en-us/information/help-and-contacts/complaints-and-claims. You won’t get an instant response so if your enquiry is urgent you are better off ringing!

Social Media

British Airways have a Facebook page and a Twitter page. The Facebook page is managed by their marketing team and won’t be able to help with any queries that require account access. The Twitter page however DO have access to your account information and can assist with most queries. You won’t get an instant response though and will need to answer security questions before they can assist you. So this method is best left to queries or changes that aren’t time-dependent… they won’t nab Business Class Avios tickets at midnight T-355 for you! (We have a guide to do that here.)

Can I contact British Airways outside the UK?

Yes, as well as the online methods mentioned above you can contact British Airways via telephone from outside the UK. The number for non-gold members is – +44 191 4907901 – If you are a gold member the number is – +44 208 7074488 – these numbers are still only open during the normal UK opening hours. What hours can I contact British Airways?

The British Airways call centre is open 07:30 – 20:00 in the UK, seven days a week. Outside these hours you can contact an overseas call centre which can deal with most queries. We usually use the USA contact number which is open from 3am – 11.30pm EST (7am – 3.30am GMT) – the number is 877-767-7970 – If you have an Office 365 subscription or similar you can call for free using your Skype minutes.
