British Airways Black Friday – 20% Off Flights!

It appears the British Airways Black Friday offer this year is being run in conjunction with the Daily Mail. With the offer, you will save 20% off the cost of an eligible cash flight booking with British Airways. Don’t worry… you don’t need to read or purchase the Daily Mail to get the discount!

How do I take advantage of the British Airways Black Friday offer?

Simply go through and make a cash booking as per normal on the British Airways website. Once you’ve selected your flights scroll down to the area that says ‘Apply an eVoucher’, then click promotional code and enter the code – BASpecial – if the code is accepted for your flights it will show the saving straight away. Unfortunately, as you add the discount code here it means any extras you add later e.g. seat selection or extra baggage won’t receive 20% off.

Any small print to be aware of?

There’s some small print but nothing too restrictive…

Flights need to be operated by British Airways and carry a BA flight number

The discount is valid off all travel classes except First Class

Your flight needs to start in the UK

You need to book by 23:59 on Friday 27th November 2020 and travel between 3rd December 2020 and 16th November 2021

The discount code must be used at time of booking and is not valid with ‘Part pay with Avios’ or any other discount or promotion

Conclusion

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it’s not enough to convince me to part with cash for a booking, I would rather wait until there is more certainty with bookings. If you were already interested in booking flights this may be enough to tempt you to take action and purchase now. Will there be any further discounts? Who knows… I wouldn’t be surprised, however!
