NHS Employee? Enter BA’s 60,000 Avios Giveaway
NHS employees can now apply to receive a gift of 60,000 Avios from the Avios Thank You Appeal Free Prize Draw. 3,000 NHS employees from all those who enter will be selected to receive 60,000 Avios.
These come from the NHS appeal by Avios last year to reward NHS workers for their efforts during the pandemic. IAG Loyalty donated 210 million and members donated 95 million for a total of 305 million Avios. 2,000 NHS staff have already received 60,000 Avios each via a nominations process run by Avios and NHS management.
How do I enter the 60,000 Avios Giveaway?
To enter you will need to fill the form on BA’s website by the 23rd December. Don’t worry there is no need to write an essay to justify why you deserve them or what you will do with them. The form simply consists of filling in your name, who you work for, your NHS email address (to enter you need to have a nhs.net, nhs.scot, hscni.net, nhs.uk or equivalent email address), and allowing permission to share your details with the Avios group.
3,000 people will be selected at random from those who enter to receive 60,000. If less than 3,000 people enter each person will receive a larger share of Avios so that the 180 million Avios are all allocated.
What are 60,000 Avios worth?

Conclusion
It’s good to see the Avios donated in the appeal last year rewarding some of those working on the frontline during COVID. If you are an NHS employee please do take advantage (If you don’t want to fly you can always redeem them for Nectar points worth £480 to spend at Argos, eBay or Sainsburys.) If you aren’t please share with those who are so as many as possible can take advantage.
