How To Book Flights With Avios

If you are new to Avios and booking reward flights on the British Airways website you may find the process a little confusing. In this guide, we take you step-by-step through the process of how to book flights with Avios.

So how do I book flights with Avios?

1) If you haven’t already got a British Airways’ account you’ll need to sign-up for one here – https://www.britishairways.com/ – this is needed to book flights with Avios points and to search for reward availability.

Once you’ve registered or if you already have an account you will need to go to the British Airways website and login in the top right corner.

2) Once you have logged in click Book on the top menu. Under flights select ‘Book a flight with Avios’

3) Enter the route, dates & ticket(s) you are interested in booking and click ‘Get Flights’

4) Choose which flights and booking class you are interested in. If there is no Avios availability on your selected dates you can change the date at the top by clicking ‘change’ or skip +/- 3 days using the blue buttons.

5) Once you have selected your outbound and inbound flight it will show you the total price in Avios and any ‘taxes and fees’ due. If you select ‘More pricing options’ it will show you alternative Avios + cash pricing.

6) If you have the required Avios + cash you can book by clicking Continue and following the instructions through the T&Cs & passengers details page through to the payment page where you will confirm your booking.
