How To Find Virgin Reward Flights?

Have you gone on Virgin Atlantic’s website looking to book a reward flight with your Virgin Points only to find every combination you try has no availability? Thankfully the need to constantly guess different routes/dates to find one with availability is over! Virgin has launched (in Beta) a Reward Seat Checker to find Virgin Reward Flights.

Using the Virgin’s Reward Seat Checker to find Virgin Reward Flights

To use Virgin’s Reward Seat Checker you need to visit the Reward Seat Checker website here – https://travelplus.virginatlantic.com/reward-flight-finder

The site allows you to check availability on a specific route for all travel classes over a particular month. Currently, you can choose either Virgin Atlantic or Delta and any route as long as it starts in the UK. Once you select your trip details and click ‘Check for reward seats’ you’ll be shown a calendar view with how many seats are available on each day.

You can toggle between your inbound/outbound flights by clicking the ‘See return’ link towards the top of the page. You can also quickly check the availability in other months by using the next/previous month option on the right-hand side of the page.

How do I book the flights I want?

Unfortunately at the moment, the process isn’t as slick as it could be. Once you’ve found your desired dates you need to click the ‘Book my reward flight’ at the bottom. This will take you flight booking page on Virgin Atlantic where you need to enter the dates you found on the Reward Seat Checker and then go through the booking process as you normally would.

Conclusion

It’s good that Virgin has finally bought out an easier way to find the Virgin Reward Flights that you want. It’s a lot easier than guessing a route/date on the flight booking tool & doesn’t require a subscription to a service such as SeatSpy to have any chance of finding a seat (though we like the extra features SeatSpy offers!) It does need some work though but hopefully, as it’s still in beta, there will be a lot more improvements to come!
