Get A Free Night With Hyatt Brand Explorer

One promotion that doesn’t get a lot of coverage from World of Hyatt is the Hyatt Brand Explorer. After completing stays at 5 different Hyatt brands you will receive a voucher for a free night at any Category 1-4 Hyatt property. What makes this promotion unique amongst others is that there is no time limit to complete the challenge…

Hotels or resorts within The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, while independently branded, will constitute a single Hyatt brand for purposes of earning a 5-Brand Free Night Award.

As you might have noticed there are actually quite a few different brands on the list which means you can earn another free night voucher for each 5 unique brands you stay at. Depending on where you travel to you may find it a bit more difficult after your first 5 unique brands.

When logged in you can track your progress on the My Account page under the My Awards tab.

What happens when I complete my 5 stays with Hyatt Brand Explorer?

Completing the challenge will get you a voucher for a free night in any category 1-4 Hyatt hotel. The voucher is valid for 12 months with any stay to be completed not just booked within this period. You can book the award through your “My Awards” page or by calling a Hyatt Global Contact Center.

What is the voucher worth?

You should be able to get at least 1.2p worth of value per point which means the voucher should be worth at least £180. It is also possible to do better/worse than this depending on when and where you are booking. Here are some examples all for one-night stays in a category 4 hotel during August…

Hyatt Place Long Island City / New York City – 15,000 points or £258 – 1.72p a point
Hyatt Regency Malta – 15,000 points or £200 – 1.33p a point
Grand Hyatt Berlin – 15,000 points or £228 – 1.52p a point
Grand Hotel Parker’s, Naples – 15,000 points or £385 – 2.56p a point
Hotel Das Tyrol, Vienna – 15,000 points or £178 – 1.18p a point
Grand Hyatt Istanbul – 15,000 points or £254 – 1.69p a point

As you can see 1.2p should be easily achievable from the voucher which is worth up to 15,000 points.

Conclusion

If you’ve stayed in any Hyatt brands over the last few years it’s worth checking your Brand Explorer chart to see how close you are to a free night. You might be much closer than you think and as there is no time limit to complete the challenge you can tick each brand off at your own leisure. Not started the challenge yet? If you have upcoming trips where a Hyatt brand is a suitable alternative to your current choice it may be worth switching!
