Did you know that Tesco and The Recycling Factory run a scheme that enables you to earn points by recycling ink cartridges for Clubcard points? (which can of course then be converted into Virgin Points/Hotels.com credit.) Read on to find out how!

How Do You Earn Points By Recycling Ink Cartridges?

1. Make sure you have an eligible cartridge to recycle. You can check here – https://therecyclingfactory.com/tesco/
   
2. Pick up a recycling envelope from Tesco (or download a label from their website.) If you buy Tesco branded ink cartridges the envelopes are included automatically.
   
3. Complete the tear-off/downloadable slip and choose either up to 125 Clubcard points per cartridge or a charity donation. Once you’ve done this place your used ink cartridges & the slip into the recycling envelope.
   
4. Return the envelope to your local Tesco store and place it into the ink cartridge recycling unit.

There is a limit of 100 inkjet cartridges per Clubcard member per calendar year (January – December)

The Recycling Factory will decide whether your ink cartridge is in suitable condition for recycling. If they decide that it isn’t you need to agree that they can throw it away, they won’t return it if it doesn’t pass their tests.

How Many Points Can I Earn By Recycling Ink Cartridges?

Unfortunately, you are limited to 100 inkjet cartridges per Clubcard member per calendar year (January – December.) This means you could potentially earn 12,500 Clubcard points each year (if each cartridge was worth 125 Clubcard points.) This would convert into either 31,200 Virgin Points or £375 of Hotels.com credit…not too shabby!
