NEW Amex Offers – £300 Off Qatar Airways & 1,000 Avios On £500 BA Spend

Two new Amex offers have appeared on some American Express cards which may be of interest to you if you have any upcoming flight bookings to make. To see if you have these offers available to you login to your Amex account (app or website) and check under the ‘Offers’ section. If you filter by ‘New’ or ‘Travel’ offers it will help you locate the offer quicker if you have it.

£300 Off Qatar Airways

If you spend £2,000 or more with Qatar Airways by the 10th of March 2023 you will get £300 back. This offer appeared on our Amex Platinum card however it is possible it may be on other cards too. It’s likely this will also be triggered when making an Avios redemption with Qatar (as long as the total spend is £2,000+ cumulative before the end date.) • Cumulative spend IS included. So you don’t need to worry if Qatar charges bookings for multiple people as separate transactions OR you wish to book multiple tickets for yourself under £2,000.

1,000 Avios On £500 BA Spend

If you spend £500 or more with BA by the 28th of February 2023 you will receive 1,000 Avios up to five times. This offer appears to be on both the FREE BA Amex & The BA Premium Plus Amex card. You can also use for the ‘taxes & fees’ of an Avios redemption if £500+ per ticket. Whilst not officially included payments towards BA holidays MAY also count.

• Cumulative spend IS NOT included. So as BA tends to charge for each individual ticket separately two tickets for £300 wouldn’t trigger the bonus Avios. However two tickets at £500+ each would likely trigger the bonus twice

New Amex Offers Conclusion

Whilst the BA offer isn’t a hugely enticing offer it is probably enough to bring forward any £500+ BA spend to the card that you were going to make anyway. The Qatar Airways offer is definitely worth a look if you have any (or think you have any) upcoming bookings to make… you have until the 10th of March 2023 to decide…save it just in case!
