How To Transfer Marriott Bonvoy Points To Another Account
Marriott allows you to transfer Marriott Bonvoy Points to another account providing you meet some lax criteria. So you and your partner, family or friends can save up and pool your points together to make an amazing reservation somewhere!
Can I Transfer my Marriott Bonvoy Points To Another Account?
Providing you meet the following criteria/limitations you can transfer points.
- You can “…transfer up to a maximum of 100,000 Points per calendar year to another Membership Account as long as both Accounts are in good standing and have each been open for at least sixty (60) days.”
- If you have rewards activity in your account such as a qualifying stay or other points earning activity you will be able to transfer points after 30 days.
- You can receive up to a maximum of 500,000 Points per calendar year from other Membership Accounts.

The process is actually really simple! Unfortunately you can’t do it online yet but one quick phone call to Marriott Bonvoy will sort out the transfer.

The details of the account you are transferring from, plus you will be asked some security questions to verify.
The details of the account you are transferring to, including loyalty number, name on account and email address.
How much you want to transfer.
Then the points should show up on your account within a few hours although it was pretty much instant when me and my partner tried it!
