Why get the train?

There are a few reasons why you might choose the train over the plane…
1) Whilst the train takes longer at approx. 4 hours compared to a planes 1h 15 you don’t need to check into the airport hours before and London St Pancreas is often a lot quicker (and cheaper) to travel to then your local airport.

2) The more generous luggage allowance of 2 suitcases/1 item of hand lugguage on every ticket and the fact you don’t have to wait 30 minutes + for your luggage or queue up for passport control when you arrive.

3) You get off the train close to the centre of the cities you are travelling too. No faffing around with public transport or taxis!

4) If that wasn’t enough for you CO2 emissions on Eurostar’s route are up to 80% less than an equivalent flight. You can view more that claim here – https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en/train/train-vs-plane

With the benefit of the return service also becoming direct will you be tempted to change your Amsterdam travel to Eurostar?
