Earn Avios on Amazon

If you are like me and do a lot of your online shopping on Amazon you’ll be pleased to know you can earn Avios on Amazon. Whilst you can’t earn them directly, it is very easily to go through TopCashback and redeem your cashback into Avios points and thus earn them indirectly.

How many Avios can I earn on Amazon?

TopCashback currently offers up to 10% cashback on purchases with Amazon. With your cashback you can convert 1p to 1 Avios point, so matching my valuation of 1p a point. Whilst I am not a buyer at 1p an Avios, If you are needing a few Avios to book a redemption you may find it good value regardless. There are also some instances where you can get more than 1p value from a point, particularly if you are using a 2 4 1 voucher from the British Airways Premium Card or the British Airways Free Card.

Remember you are exchanging cash for Avios when you cash out with Avios points. Cash is a lot more flexible and not prone to devaluations like points can be. Always bare this in mind when deciding if you want withdraw as Avios points or cash.

So how do I earn Avios on Amazon?

First of all you need to have a TopCashback account. If you don’t have one you can sign up here – https://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/pointsuncovered – you’ll get a £5 bonus when you reach £10 cashback. (This offer does change from time to time.)

If you already have one/just signed up, sign in and search for Amazon in the search bar at the top and click on Amazon.co.uk

Currently you will receive up to 10% cashback depending on which category you shop in. Just scroll down to see what category currently have cashback offered.

Simply click through and complete your purchase. When you head back to TopCashback you should see confirmation that the transaction has been successfully tracked.

Once the cashback is in your account simply head to the payout section by selecting Account in the top right of the site then selecting Payout. Scroll down to the bottom for British Airways Executive Club. You will receive 1 Avios Point per 1p and can cash out a minimum of 20p.

Finally all you need to do is wait for the Avios points to hit your British Airways account!

Earn more Avios with a rewards credit card

Don’t forget you can also use your rewards credit card to collect points/cashback on your purchase. This does not affect your Avios points/cashback received from other sites. A £1000 purchase would net you a further 1500 Avios on the British Airways Premium Card. Or 1000 Avios on the free British Airways Card.
