Ibis Styles London Heathrow: Budget Airport Hotel

As me and my partner had an evening flight arrival into Heathrow T3 we decided to book and spend the night in the Ibis Styles London Heathrow located on the Heathrow perimeter. We paid just under £45 for a double which seemed much more stomach-able than a late evening tube journey!

Getting to the Ibis Styles London Heathrow

The cheapest way to get there is to hop onto a local bus from Heathrow Central Bus Station (follow signs for it from your terminal, it is a little walk from some,) As the hotel is located in the Heathrow Free Travel Zone you don’t have to pay a penny or wave an oyster card. Just walk straight on the bus! The buses for the Ibis Styles are the 105, 140, 111 or 285. They run between every 1 – 10 minutes and drop you literally right outside the Ibis Styles! If you are heading back to the airport just cross the road and pick up one of the same buses back to the airport for free.

If you are coming in from central London you can change at Hatton Cross for either the 285 or 423 (free as in the Heathrow Free Travel Zone) to the Ibis Styles London Heathrow as this will be quicker than going into Heathrow Airport first! (The bus will drop you across the road from the hotel.)

Ibis Styles London Heathrow Reception

The hotel has an airline style theme throughout which you can see throughout – very unique! When we arrived to check in around 9.30pm there was only one person in front of us and within minutes we had checked in and headed up to our room on the 3rd floor.

As we were tired from our journey back once in our room we rung reception and asked for late checkout… we were given until 3pm…for free!

Handily If you need any late night snacks or drinks there is a petrol station with a 24 hour Co-Op shop attached just next door, much cheaper than hotel or airport prices!

The room

The room was modern and a little quirky! The carpet was multi toned blue and behind the bed was an art canvas with an astronaut on.

Beside the bed there is a little airline trolley with your kettle, tea, coffee and bottled water etc inside. On top is your telephone to reach the reception etc.

Ibis Styles London Heathrow Room 3

Rather than a wardrobe you have hooks and hangers, which seeing as you’re only likely here overnight isn’t an issue.

The bed was comfortable, by default they had one pillow for each side but thankfully there were another 2 pillows in the room as I can’t sleep with just one!

Ibis Styles London Heathrow Room 4

There is a 32 inch TV with freeview channels. They also have plug sockets with USB slots by the bed which is handy to charge your phone and not have to get out of bed to turn the alarm off!

The bathroom

The bathroom was clean, modern and practical. As you might expect for a budget hotel there are non-removable toiletries by the sink and in the shower. I didn’t use these as I brought my own. The shower water pressure was good and the lighting was excellent.

ohh and more quirky artwork with orangutan peeking in!

Breakfast/Restaurant/Bar

The hotel offers complimentary continental breakfast to all guests from 5am. Here you’ll find a selection of cereals, pastries, yoghurts and breads with meats, cheese & condiments etc. Nothing extravagant, but at the rate paid you can’t expect anything more! They also offer Gluten Free bread if you need it.

The hotel also has a 24/7 bar and a restaurant called Westcombe Bistro available from 11am until 11pm. If that doesn’t take your fancy there is a McDonald’s 5 minute walk away!

Conclusion

Overall Ibis Styles London Heathrow is a fantastic option for a one night stopover before or after a flight. It’s location means it’s easily accessible from the Airport with a short free bus ride. The rooms are clean and modern and you get breakfast thrown in… what more could you want? For more details and booking click through here – Ibis Styles London Heathrow
